Subversion is an open-source Revision Control System (RCS). With Subversion you will be able to make time-based snapshots of your files and folders. This is especially useful for creating time-based snapshots of source code. In most of my code work, I use Subversion (or svn) for my code repositories. Installing and maintaining an svn repository is very simple and straightforward.
This tutorial will show you how a simple svn repsitory is created and mantained in a Debian-based system using svn 1.2 and up. For this, we will be using Ubuntu 5.10 server. First thing to do is update the software repositories. From the console, you can download and install svn. You need to have sudo privileges to install packages into the system.
EDIT: It's back now. Many thanks to Ealden!

Ubuntu-PH is all about community. You do not need to pay anything to be part of the growing Ubuntu users in the Philippines! Here's how to get started:
1. Create a Launchpad account. Launchpad is a collection of services for products in the open source universe and is the primary online tool of Ubuntu.
2. Join the Ubuntu Team Philippines on Launchpad..
3. Join mailing list. The primary list is on Ubuntu-PH Mailing List, get involved in Ubuntu advocacy, development, talks, help on Ubuntu for new users's and provide friendly support in your local community and language. If you would like to catch up on the mailing list, its recommended that you check out the list archives.
After months of planning and team meetings, the Ubuntu-PH website is now available. The website contains information on how to join the Ubuntu-PH community, subscribe to the mailing list dedicated to Ubuntu users in the Philippines, edit pages in the wiki, and vote in the polls!
We're currently adding more content to the website such as tutorials, local case studies as well as aggregate the blogs of Ubuntu-PH community members in Planet. We're also open to volunteers to maintain the sitee, write articles and tutorials.
